Exterior has black, fractured fusion crust, frothy in areas; areas without fusion crust are weathered with evaporites present. Interior is a black matrix with small white inclusions, some oxidation visible; fine grained with a heavy darker rind around edges. |
The sections consist of a few small chondrules (up to 0.5 mm), mineral grains and CAIs set in a black matrix; rare metal and sulfide grains are present. Olivine compositions are Fa0-48 with most 2, pyroxenes are Fs1-38. Aqueous alteration of the matrix is substantial, but the chondrules are only modestly altered. The meteorites are CM2 chondrites. |
