60% fractured black fusion crust, frothy in areas; rest is a rusty with white inclusions on edge of sample. Interior is black and rusty with inclusion/chondrules, lighter than matrix, some are weathered. |
The sections consist of a few small chondrules (up to 0.5 mm), mineral grains and CAIs set in a black matrix; rare metal and sulfide grains are present. Olivine compositions are Fa0-48 with most 2, pyroxenes are Fs1-38. Aqueous alteration of the matrix is substantial, but the chondrules are only modestly altered. The meteorites are CM2 chondrites. |
