95% black, rough fusion crust with red rust spots up to 5 mm in size. The exposed surface is gray and beige. The interior is a black to gray matrix with gray and beige chondrules/clasts and minor orange rust. |
The section exhibits numerous large (up to 2 mm), well-defined chondrules in a black matrix of fine-grained silicates, metal and troilite. Polysynthetically twinned pyroxene is present. The meteorite is modestly weathered. Silicates are unequilibrated; olivines range from Fa4-44 and pyroxenes from Fs5-26. The meteorites are LL3 chondrites (estimated subtype 3.7). |
