The exteror has 50% black fusion crust. The exposed surface is dark gray to black with orange rust. The interior is a gray matrix with black and white inclusions. | |
Thin Section Description (,2) - | |
The section exhibits numerous large (up to 2 mm), well-defined chondrules in a black matrix of fine-grained silicates, metal and troilite. Polysynthetically twinned pyroxene is present. The meteorite is modestly weathered. Silicates are unequilibrated; olivines range from Fa4-44 and pyroxenes from Fs5-26. The meteorites are LL3 chondrites (estimated subtype 3.7). |
