Black fusion crust covers 95% of the exterior. The exterior is rough, pitted, fractured, and has many radiating flow lines. There are some white evaporites and iridescent weathering spots present. Exposed areas show dark grey/black matrix. Interior matrix is black with small (< 0.5 mm) inclusions visible. |
The section consists of abundant small (up to 1 mm) chondrules, chondrule fragments and mineral grains in a dark matrix. Metal and sulfide occur within and rimming the chondrules. Olivine ranges in composition from Fa1-44 and pyroxenes range from Fs1-8. The meteorite is a CO3 chondrite, possibly part of the greater DOM (08004) CO3 pairing group. |
