The exterior surface has 45% black, vesicular fusion crust with orange and brown rust. The interior is a black matrix with beige inclusions/chondrules and orange rust. |
The section exhibits numerous large (up to 2 mm), well-defined chondrules in a black matrix of fine-grained silicates, metal and troilite. Polysynthetically twinned pyroxene is present. The meteorite is extensively weathered. Silicates are unequilibrated; olivines range from Fa0-34 and pyroxenes from Fs5-19. The meteorite is an L3 chondrite (estimated subtype 3.6). |
