Black fusion crust covers 40% of the exterior which is fractured and weathered. Minor amounts of evaporites are present on some areas. The exposed interior is black with some rusty and white, gray and beige inclusions/chondrules (1-5mm). The interior is black matrix with lighter colored and rusty chondrules/inclusions (1-5 mm). |
This unweathered and unshocked section exhibits numerous well-defined chondrules (up to 1.5 mm) in a black matrix of fine-grained silicates, metal and troilite. Polysynthetically twinned pyroxene is extremely abundant. Silicates are unequilibrated; olivines range from Fa9-27, and pyroxenes from Fs4-14. The meteorite is an L chondrite (estimated subtype 3.6). |
