Macroscopic Description - Kathleen McBride
100% brown/black fusion crust with oxidation haloes covers the exterior surface of this ordinary chondrite. The interior is smooth, brown in color.
Thin Section Description (,2) - Tim McCoy, Valerie Reynolds
This H chondrite (Fa19Fs16) is dominated by a melted matrix with rounded metal globules of <100 µm in diameter. Highly-metamorphosed clasts remain at the edge of the section. This small meteorite is an H impact melt breccia. |
