NASA Astromaterial Curation Allocation Policies
- Each investigator with Astromaterials allocations must have a valid loan agreement with NASA. The term of loan agreements is for five years.
- Specific astromaterial allocations are made for 5 years. Extensions of loans must be formally requested and documented with the relevant Curator.
- Each PI is responsible for conducting an inventory and reporting results back to the NASA Curators on an annual basis.
- Delinquent loan agreements, overdue allocations or failure to comply with inventories or other policies stated in loan agreements or collection guidebooks may not be eligible for additional samples or may result in sample recall.
